Six Figure Settlement In Liability Case
The Williamsport lawyers at Rudinski Orso and Lynch have settled a premises liability case for six figures. The client suffered a partial amputation of his thumb while loading product onto a conveyor belt. The machine did not have a guard and gears were exposed. Unfortunately, the client's thumb was partially severed.
"The first investigation we did for the client was to determin if any OSHA violations occurred", stated Attorney Joseph F Orso III. "Not only did we find the existence of a violation, but the owner paid a fine to OSHA"
"This resolution was exceptional in that the client recorded nearly twice the amount of any specific loss benefits under the Comp Act" Attorney Orso concluded.
